Torque Wrench
The tension can be set on a torque wrench so you can apply the correct amount of torque to the bolt to be tightened. Wheel studs should be tightened to 125 N-m. To much force and the bolts snap and the bolt needs replacing. If the wheels stud nuts are too loose or over tightened they snap the stud. If this happens this often means dismantling the hub to replace the stud, if you are carrying spares. Done this more than once so I have learnt my lesson and tighten the wheels nuts carefully. I do carry spare front and back studs just in case I forget again.
